One Girl

If you are joining me here today from my devo running at RadRevolution, thanks for coming!

"Will the real me stand up?" Do you ever feel like you could ask yourself that question? Do you ever wonder "Who am I?".

It doesn't really matter what your age, once we are old enough to figure out that if we change this thing or that we will be liked more, it is hard NOT to do that! The truth is, there is only One that we should be doing that for, it is Jesus Himself. He is the One we need to be living to please each and every day.

One way that we can help ourselves to be one person is by being in God's Word everyday. Just like you need food and water, we need His word if we are going to please Him by becoming more like Him.

Could you use some help getting in the Word each day? I'm giving away a Mom and Me prize pack - For a teen girl- the 3 book series B.A.B.E. series by Andrea Stephens (Beautiful, Accepted, Blessed, Eternally Significant) for the teen and for Mom a $10 gift card to Starbucks along with Lynn's CD "Building a Bridge to Your Child's Heart". Just leave me a comment below on what would most help you in your life to be "one" girl; the same girl at home, school, church and work. You're comment could help another teen. Just click on comments below!

At RadRev, we are in the process of looking to give our ministry a new look and we would love your input. What do you think of the new name "She Stands"? We believe that each day you are making choices about standing up for Jesus and our desire is to be your friend along that journey. What do you think? Please let us know in the comments below as well :)

Happy Tuesday,
Lynn

Lynn,

I think the only way you can be the same person that everyone sees regardless of where you go is simply accepting yourself the way God sees you. We are unique and we are all created perfect in His eyes. We have to realize that nothing we can ever do will change the way we see ourselves on the inside. We will always want something else. Yet God created you as the most beautiful and perfect person imaginable and in His eyes, nothing is wasted or unwanted. You simply ARE!

Let me just say I know for a fact how hard it is to be one person. That's how I've been feeing lately. You feel like you have to be someone to prove yourself you your friends, you need to be the child you parents know and love, but where do these two meet? I think that we all have to realize that the only way we can truly be ourselves, one person, is to be what God created us to truly be. I know sometimes it's hard, with the peer-pressure we have in schools today, but being your God-given self is so worth it! Thanks Lynn for helping to being me back into perspective, and I hope this helps many more.

Saturate your heart with the Word. Great encouragement can be found in the Scriptures on how to be one person or one girl no matter what. God accepts us all, loves us unconditionally, hey, He gave us His Son, there is no greater love than that! If you come to see yourself through God's eyes, which is easiest when you read His love letter to you, you will never be the same and the new you will come shining through!

"She Stands" is an AWESOME name! I think you guys should really go for it! Well... standing up for Jesus? For me it's hard! I really feel that I'm the Christian or the girl that God wants me to be when I'm home, but not in school and not in Church. School? Well, I'm not that bold to tell others about the love of God, sometimes I am, but not on a daily basis. Church? Well, sometimes I panicked at the idea of leading a cell group or inviting people to my Church events and all, so yeah... All I know is that I need the Word of God everyday of my life, I need to pray and seek Him with all my heart, His presence, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, because I feel I've been so disobedient to God's whispers so, I hate that about me. Thanks Lynn, your blogs are such an inspiration for me to change and be the girl that God wants me to be! Thank you!

XOXO, Mel! <3

It is hard to be that one girl all the time, when satan steps in you have to put on the might armor of God and take control. That is a big task and takes alot of praying and reading of God's word to do that. I also have an identical twin sister and we are all the time getting mixed up by people and thats ok sometimes, but we are separate girls and God made us each unique and we always strive to do God's will. We teach a girls bible study at our church and we are always saying never loose faith and always know that God is with you. The books sound incredible and starbucks too! Thanks for your devotions and words of encouragement.
